MISSION

The Royal Lancers is a Drum and Bugle Corps that practices year round. Students participating in the Royal Lancer’s Drum Corps will learn music skills that exceed the grade level expectation (GLE) prescribed by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) through rehearsal, private lessons and performance.

Also, as students progress through the program, in addition to learning how to march and play an instrument simultaneously, they will learn leadership skills, teamwork and will garner appreciation for hard work, practice,  dedication, and discipline and students will gain the aptitude and skill to take on esteemed roles in High School and College Marching Band programs.

Students who participate in performing arts programs like Drum Corps tend to have higher grades, score higher on standardizes tests, and have a more positive outlook on their life compared to students who have little to no experience in the performing arts.
